Maintain Cleanliness Of The Blades

Maintain cleanliness of the blades:
- Prepare a cleaning cloth as much as possible during tameshigiri.
- After making the final cut, straight blades cleaned before being put into me.

Creating Choji Oil: Choji oil and oil-oil Camellia is in use to prevent rust on Japanese swords (katana, shinken also other traditional senjata2) Cuman I think hard to get it in Indonesia. I recommend to use Mineral Oil (Paraffin Oil), but its the same with Choji oil and camellias, also cheaper. Try looking at toko2 pharmacy. If you like the traditional scent like the smell of Choji oil .. just add a few drops (in mineral oil) Oil Clove (Clove Oil).

Cleaning Tsuka Ito After the frequently used practice, Tsuka Ito (especially the light-colored) slightly crease. How to clean it, as follows;
Provide a neutral liquid soap (not wearing a mixture of chemicals) and a toothbrush. Mix the liquid soap with clean water so it is not too thick. Tsuka brush with a soft toothbrush, and follow the rope, so as not to wet the Same. Once clean, dry (minimum 24 hours).
Well .. this is important; After Tsukanya dry, feel .. what Ito was still stiff, usually when Tsuka Ito made of cotton (not Silk) will become mushy.

I use wood glue (white color and packaging, such as toothpaste), I melted with water, so it becomes like milk. Do not be too thick, and not too liquid (understand) I put the liquid into a syringe. Later injected into Ito. End nodes on the Fuchi should that get attention, because it is often loose knot (rope so soft, so that the knot loose). Inject the knot at the Fuchi sufficiently.
Once dry (at least 24 hours), Tsuka Ito you will become rigid again.
